Committee Minutes
Regular Meeting
July 26th, 2010
7:00 PM
Attending Members: Joseph Colangelo, Mike Pinatti, Greg Suchy, Josh Walsh, Mike Kozyra and Bill Bilyak. Teri Gareau and Karl Acimovic were also in attendance.
Meeting called to order at 7:05 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from the previous WRC meeting were reviewed. Josh motioned to approve and seconded by Joe Colangelo.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
None
DIRECTORS REPORT:
Teri Gareau presented the Director’s Report:
- Update on Programs including Hall’s pond. 64 season passes down from 65 last year. Also 5 day passes plus 13, 5 day passes and 4 individual passes.
- Update on the summer camp-70 campers , 30-40 per week
- Other programs: Kayak, Fencing, Karate, Zumba, Volleyball, Golf and “love of the game” baseball camp.
- Garden class on 8/22.
- Teri also presented the unaudited fiscal year fund balance of $10,180.
OLD BUSINESS:
- Proposals for RRAC have been received for the playscape.
- No progress yet on the backboard and electrical install at RRAC. Karl and Mike to discuss.
NEW BUSINESS:
- RFP’s for the playscape at RRAC were reviewed. We received 8 rfp’s. Discussion ensued and after detail discussion it was determined to chose Marturano Rec for a total bid of $23,027.96. This including the items; playscape, ground surfacing and layout for the post holes. A motion was made by Joe Colangelo and seconded by Josh Walsh. All other members also approved.
- We then discussed next steps with RRAC. Karl is finalizing the “materials” rfp for the walkway basketball, volleyball and pavilion. This should be worked out in 2-3 weeks.
